Winning the toss, India put a gigantic total of 188 runs at the loss of eight wickets in twenty overs as Sanju Samson shone for his time, playing a 56-run knock.

Chasing the target of 189 runs, Oman openers Jatinder Singh and Aamir Kaleem provided a smooth but relatively slow start to the innings.

Hammad Mirza played a brilliant innings of 51 runs on 33 deliveries, bringing his team close to the target.
