The decision was made in a special meeting chaired by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.

Under the plan, district and tehsil-level flood relief committees will be formed to ensure swift assistance.

A new system featuring survey forms, a mobile app, and a monitoring dashboard has also been approved.

CM Maryam announced she will personally monitor relief progress through the dashboard.

According to the Revenue Department’s report, floods have devastated 27 districts, 64 tehsils, and 3,775 villages, damaging over 63,200 brick houses and 9,684 mud houses.

The chief minister directed officials to restore roads, bridges, and critical infrastructure in affected areas without delay.

She stressed that aid distribution must be simple and accessible, with additional relief camps and delivery points set up to reach every family.

“We have to help flood victims with an open heart,” CM Maryam Nawaz said, adding that every individual’s losses will be compensated and no family will be left without relief.

The Punjab government reiterated its commitment to provide full support and timely rehabilitation to all flood-affected communities.
