In a report by Indian media, in an anticipation of Pakistan-India match on September 21, the Indian media has highlighted another controversy.

According to India Today, ICC CEO Sanjog Gupta has sent an email to PCB questioning why a pre-match meeting with match refree Andy Pycoft, involving the captain and match officials, was recorded, despite the ban on mobile phones and cameras.

The report further claimed that Pakistani team has violated several tournament regulations prior to their match against UAE.

The ICC is said to be contemplating action against the PCB, particularly after a video of the match referee apologizing was shared on social media, which was not appreciated by the ICC.

In a related incident, Andy Pycroft had instructed Pakistan’s captain, Salman Agha, not to shake hands with Indian captain Surya Kumar Yadav during the India-Pakistan match.

Following this instruction, the PCB called for Pycroft’s removal. The controversy escalated to the point where Pycroft eventually issued an apology to both the PCB and the Pakistani team.
