According to the police, the SOS Security Company vehicle was intercepted by unidentified gunmen at Dasht Khadan Cross, where the cash was taken away.

The looted money included Rs145.5 million and an additional Rs75 million in funds.

The incident occurred on the M-8 highway, the main road from Turbat to Gwadar, which usually remains busy with traffic.

Despite the presence of a security checkpoint near the location, the suspects managed to escape with the cash.

Law enforcement agencies reached the scene after being alerted, cordoned off the area and launched a search operation.
