The water level is increasing continuously in Kashmore near the Guddu Barrage as floodwaters from Punjab enter the region.

There was severe flooding in the riverine (katcha) areas of Gambat, where hundreds of villages have become submerged.

District administration missing

Meanwhile, flood-affected residents in Gambat have started relocating to safer areas on their own due to the absence of assistance from district authorities, who are missing from the scene.

The flood situation at Guddu Barrage remained critical, the authorities said.

Pakistan Navy launches relief operations

To mitigate the suffering of the affected people, the Pakistan Navy has launched a large-scale rescue and relief operation in the Sujawal district of Sindh.

The Navy is providing emergency food supplies, temporary shelter, and medical aid to displaced families.

The Navy personnel also distributed ration packs, tents, and essential supplies at Surjani Bund to those in need.

Medical camps have also been established, where specialist doctors are treating patients and distributing medicines.

Aid delivered by air

Relief camps have been set up in Shah Bandar, Kokha Bund, Monarki, and Kot Alam, among other flood-affected locations, to provide temporary shelter and aid to displaced communities.

In remote areas where road access is cut off due to floodwaters, authorities used helicopters to deliver food and emergency supplies to stranded families.
