According to Relief Commissioner Punjab Nabeel Javed, more than 4,500 villages have been inundated by the ongoing flood crisis.

The Chenab alone has affected 2,315 villages, while 1,495 have been impacted along the Ravi and 666 along the Sutlej.

At least 79 people have lost their lives in flood-related incidents, the report said.

Overall, 4.287 million people have been affected, while rescue teams and other authorities have evacuated 2.262 million people to safer locations.

To support relief efforts, 396 relief camps, 490 medical camps, and 412 veterinary camps have been set up in flood-hit districts.

The PDMA also highlighted the strain on reservoirs. Mangla Dam has reached 90 percent capacity, while Tarbela Dam is filled to 100 percent.

On the Indian side of the Sutlej, Bhakra Dam is at 90 percent, Pong Dam at 99 percent, and Thein Dam at 97 percent.
