Early this morning, a freight train traveling from Lahore to Karachi collided with four stationary bogies left on the track, causing severe damage to the engine and several carriages.

Tragically, the assistant driver and resident of Kasur, Imtiaz died on spot. Additionally, two crew members including the driver, sustained injuries.

Emergency response teams from local police and Rescue 1122 quickly arrived to conduct rescue operations.

The injured have been transported to THQ (Tehsil Headquarter Hospital) for medical attention, while train services remain suspended as investigations continue into the cause of the accident.
