&lt;p&gt;The prime minister made these remarks during a meeting with China’s Minister of Industry and Information Technology, Li Lecheng, in Beijing.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Shehbaz Sharif described the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) as the central pillar of Pakistan’s socio-economic development and expressed satisfaction over the steady progress of its second phase.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;He assured that Beijing remains firmly committed to elevating bilateral relations to new heights of cooperation and collaboration.&lt;/p&gt;
