The funding will be channeled through the International Development Association (IDA) and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD), targeting key projects in agriculture, energy, water, finance, revenue, governance, and social services.

Currently, there are 57 active World Bank-funded projects in Pakistan, valued at $16.6 billion. These initiatives encompass various sectors, including communication, rural and urban development, human capital investment, and governance reforms.

In addition to the current financing, the World Bank has committed an extra $8.6 billion for future projects in the coming years.

Over the past seven years, Pakistan has received a total of $11.84 billion in World Bank loans, with the energy sector receiving the largest allocation of $1.96 billion.
