According to the Seismological Centre, the quake’s epicentre was located in southern Afghanistan at a depth of 22 kilometres.

Strong jolts were felt in Islamabad, Peshawar, Abbottabad, Mohmand, Mingora, and surrounding areas.

The tremors caused panic among residents, prompting many to rush out of their homes while reciting the “Kalima Tayyiba”.

Authorities confirmed that the earthquake did not result in any loss of life or property.

It is worth noting that on the night of September 1, a powerful earthquake in Afghanistan claimed the lives of more than 800 people and left over 2,800 injured, while tremors were also felt in several cities across Pakistan.
