According to a notification issued by the provincial Home Department, a ban has been imposed on:

• Pillion riding on motorcycles
• Display of weapons
• Political gatherings
• Sit-ins
• Rallies of more than five people.

The notification further stated that during the enforcement of Section 144, men would also not be allowed to wear face coverings or masks.

Meanwhile, the ban on the use of tinted glasses in vehicles, already in place, will be enforced strictly.

Officials said the measures are aimed at ensuring public safety and preventing any untoward incidents.

The notification added that Section 144 will remain effective from August 31 to September 14.
