According to the PDMA, there is a risk of flooding in rivers across Punjab during the ongoing monsoon spell.

A flash flood alert has been issued for the northern and northeastern districts of the province.

The PDMA stated that flood warnings have been issued for the Jhelum, Chenab, Ravi, and Sutlej rivers, as well as their connected streams and tributaries.

There is a possibility of moderate to high-level flooding in the Jhelum and Chenab rivers.

There is also a risk of flooding in Dera Ghazi Khan, while a high level of flood is passing through Ganda Singh Wala in the Sutlej River.

The water flow at Ganda Singh Wala is 126,000 cusecs, while there is moderate flooding at Head Sulemanki.

The inflow of water at Sulaimanki is 90,000 cusecs, and the outflow is 82,000 cusecs. There is a low-level flood at Tarbela in the Indus River.

A low-level flood is also being reported at Tarbela on the Indus River.

Additionally, the water flow in the Indus River at Taunsa, Kalabagh, and Chashma is at normal levels. However, there is a low-level flood in the Narowal nullah.

The PDMA Director-General has issued instructions to shift residents living in or near riverbeds to safer locations.
