The application process under the Government Hajj Scheme 2026 has officially closed after receiving a total of 118,060 applications from across Pakistan, the Ministry of Religious Affairs confirmed on Saturday.

According to ministry sources, applications were accepted strictly on a first-come, first-served basis.

The process, which lasted 17 days, allowed prospective pilgrims to submit applications online and through designated banks.

Applicants submitted requests for both long- and short-duration Hajj packages.

The ministry collected half of the Hajj expenses as the first instalment, while the remaining amount will be received in a second instalment beginning November 1.

The estimated cost under the government scheme ranges between Rs1.15 million and Rs1.25 million.

Officials noted that the collection of applications was completed earlier than in previous years.
The final selection of successful pilgrims has now been determined, with no further applications being accepted.
