The spell that hit Karachi on Tuesday has continued to shower various areas of the city on the third day with moderate to heavy rainfall.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, more rainfall is expected in the coming hours. Light to moderate showers were also recorded in Natha Khan Bridge, Gulistan-e-Johar, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, and Nagan Chowrangi, while downpours were reported in Saddar, MA Jinnah Road, Korangi, and II Chundrigar Road.

Drizzle was witnessed in areas such as Numaish, Gurumandir, Jahangir Road, and Liaquatabad, whereas continuous showers fell in Hassan Square, NIPA, Jail Road, Nazimabad, Orangi Town, Surjani, and Defence.

Meanwhile, the power supply remained disrupted in several neighbourhoods.

More than 160 feeders are still unrestored, as KE failed in its commitment to ensure unrestricted provision of electricity to the city.

Electricity outages were reported in Shah Faisal Colony, Alfalah, Malir, Surjani, and parts of New Karachi, Scheme 33, DHA, Gulshan-e-Hadeed, Manghopir, and Old City, causing difficulties for residents.
