According to a report by the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), 427 people have lost their lives in the province, including 321 men, 60 children and 46 women.

The report states that 270 people have been injured, including 182 men, 45 children and 43 women.

The intensity of the rains and floods has caused widespread destruction in various areas, and relief operations are underway to provide immediate assistance to the victims.

29 bodies recovered

In the Dalori area of Swabi, a search operation is ongoing following the destruction caused by the floods.

So far, 29 bodies have been recovered, and rescue and relief teams are actively searching for the injured.

Army helicopters deliver aid

Pakistan Army helicopters delivered rations and other essential supplies to the affected areas as part of the flood relief operations in flood-affected districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including Buner, Swat and Shangla.

Flood victims are being moved to safer locations to reduce the risks to their lives.

The Pakistan Army’s Corps of Engineers team is working to clear roads and remove debris, while the urban search and rescue teams are searching for the injured and the deceased.

The Pakistan Army doctors have also set up camps in the affected areas and are providing treatment to the patients.

More rain forecast

The weather in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is likely to be partly cloudy, and rain has been predicted in most districts of the province during the next 24 hours.

According to the Meteorological Department, rain is expected in Peshawar, Hazara, Malakand, Kohat, Nowshera, Mardan, Charsadda, Swabi, Chitral, Dera Ismail Khan, Swat, Buner, Malakand, Shangla, Kohistan, Battagram, Torghar, Mansehra, Haripur, Abbottabad, Bajaur, Mohmand, Khyber, Orakzai, Hangu, Karak, Laki Marwat, Bannu, Tank, D.I. Khan, and North and South Waziristan.
