In the local market, the price of gold per tola dropped by Rs1,100 to settle at Rs356,600.

According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), 10-gram gold was sold at Rs305,727 after shedding Rs943.

On Monday, gold prices had gained sharply, with per tola rates climbing by Rs1,500 to Rs357,700.

Internationally, gold prices also edged lower, with the rate recorded at $3,339 per ounce (including a $20 premium), reflecting a decline of $11, according to APGJSA.

Meanwhile, silver prices remained stable at Rs4,031 per tola.
