The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Communication and Works Department has released an extensive report on the damage caused by the recent rains and flash floods.

According to the report, a total of 238 roads across the province were affected. Of these, 47 have been fully restored, 172 partially reopened for light traffic, while 47 remain closed.

In district Swat, 25 roads were damaged — 2 fully restored, 21 partially reopened, and 3 still closed.

In Lower Dir, 28 roads were affected, with 2 fully and 19 partially reopened, while 7 remain shut.

In Mansehra, out of 13 damaged roads, 8 have been fully restored and 5 partially reopened.

Malakand reported 11 affected roads, of which 5 were fully restored and 6 partially reopened.

In Mardan, 25 roads have been opened only for light traffic, while in Karak, 14 roads were damaged, with 3 fully and 11 partially restored.

The report also revealed that 49 bridges were impacted across the province. Of these, 4 have been completely restored, 32 partially opened, while 14 remain closed.

Mardan was the worst hit, with 16 bridges damaged — all of which are currently open for light traffic. Swat and Lower Dir each reported 5 damaged bridges, while Kohistan recorded 4.

Additionally, 47 waterways (nullahs) were affected by the floods. Eight have been fully restored, 26 partially reopened, and 13 remain blocked.
