CTD takes down terrorist linked to 18 attacks in Peshawar

In an operation in the Regi Lalma area of Peshawar, the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) has successfully neutralized three terrorists associated with the Fitna Al Khawarij .

CTD officials confirmed that among those killed was Afghan national Abdullah, also known as Jawad, who had been wanted for his involvement in multiple terrorism-related incidents.

Abdullah was implicated in 18 terrorist attacks in Peshawar, which led to the martyrdom of 12 police and Frontier Corps (FC) personnel, along with numerous injuries to civilians.

The attacks specifically targeted five police officers, including DSP Sardar Hussain, as well as two FC personnel and others.

Officials stated that the deceased terrorists were involved in arson against police vehicles, extortion, IED explosions, and various shooting incidents.

This group was reportedly linked to a TTP cell and was actively planning further terrorist operations with foreign funding and support.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi commended the CTD for their successful operation, highlighting that the elimination of Indian-backed terrorists marks a significant victory in the fight against terrorism.
