      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;The Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK) on Wednesday announced the results of the 2025 annual matriculation examinations for the science group, posting an overall pass rate of 83.93%.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;According to official data, 173,738 candidates were registered for the exams, with 172,391 appearing and 1,347 marked absent.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;A total of 144,681 students passed all papers, while 27,244 failed. The results have been published on the board’s website, &lt;a rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" class="link--external" href="http://www.bsek.edu.pk"&gt;www.bsek.edu.pk&lt;/a&gt;.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Aina Farooqi of Montessori Complex, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, clinched the top spot with 94.73% marks.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Vania Noor of Pioneer Grammar School, Orangi Town, secured second place with 94.09%.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The third position was shared by Syed Izkaar Hussain Rizvi of Civil Aviation Model School and Umaima Zafar of The Smart School, Malir, both scoring 94%.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;This year’s candidates included 90,740 boys and 82,998 girls.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;In terms of grading, 30,154 students achieved an A-1 grade, 50,346 secured an A grade, 39,691 obtained a B grade, 20,614 earned a C grade, 3,841 received a D grade, and 35 students passed with an E grade.&lt;/p&gt;
