No one was injured in the accident, according to initial reports. Security forces and rescue teams reached the spot after the incident and cordoned off the area.

The Jaffar Express was heading to Rawalpindi from Quetta when the explosion occurred.

The blast caused significant damage to the track. However, passengers travelling in the affected coaches were safely evacuated.

The incident follows similar attacks on the Jaffar Express in recent days. On August 7, a blast occurred near the Sibi railway station, but the train had already passed and no damage was caused.

Similarly, on August 4, an attempt was made to target the Jaffar Express, which was going from Quetta to Peshawar, near Kolpur.

During this, the pilot engine was hit by five bullets, but the crew remained safe. The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), a separatist group supported by India, claimed responsibility for the attack.

The Jaffar Express has been a target of several terrorist attacks in the past.

In March, an attack on the train resulted in the death of 26 passengers, while in July, a blast in Jacobabad derailed four coaches, but all passengers were unharmed.
