The victim, identified as Advocate Malik Nasir, succumbed to gunshot wounds at the scene.

Police said evidence has been collected and an investigation is underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the attack.

Robbery victim succumbs to injuries

In a separate incident, a man injured during a robbery in Mauripur’s Grex area died in hospital.

The victim, Jamil Bangash, had been rushed to Civil Hospital Karachi in critical condition, where he later passed away.

According to relatives, Bangash was a father of five and was returning home after collecting money from his office on Tariq Road when armed robbers followed him.

The assailants attempted to loot him, and upon resistance, opened fire, leaving him severely injured.
