      <title>Pakistan approves its first AI policy</title>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Pakistan has approved its first National Artificial Intelligence (AI) Policy, a significant initiative aimed at creating 3million jobs in the AI sector by 2030 and boosting the nation’s GDP by seven to twelve per cent.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Federal Minister for Information Technology Shaza Fatima said on Saturday that the policy provides a complete roadmap for AI development, ensuring safe and responsible use of the technology while enabling Pakistan to compete in the global AI landscape.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;She also noted that the initiative is designed not only to strengthen the domestic tech ecosystem but also to open opportunities for international collaboration, innovation, and economic growth.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Earlier on Wednesday, the federal cabinet approved the National AI Policy 2025. The policy aimed at establishing a comprehensive artificial intelligence ecosystem in Pakistan.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The cabinet granted its approval at a meeting in Islamabad chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif&lt;/p&gt;
