The only setback for South Africa came early in the innings when Hashim Amla was dismissed for 18 off 14 balls, but that proved to be a mere blip as de Villiers took full control of the game from there.

Earlier, Pakistan posted 195 for 5 in their 20 overs, riding on a blazing 76 off 42 by Sharjeel Khan, who struck 9 fours and 4 sixes. His aggressive start set the tone, while Umar Amin contributed 36 off 19 balls to consolidate the innings.

In the final five overs, Asif Ali hammered 28 off 15, propelling Pakistan to what appeared to be a formidable total with a late surge of 61 runs.
