According to police, the suspect, identified as Ghulamullah, was killed four days ago during an exchange of fire with police in Karachi’s SITE area. His accomplice was arrested in an injured condition following the encounter.

Earlier, gunfire had been reported in Block 15 of Gulistan-e-Jauhar, where Ghulamullah was fatally shot. He was the brother of Naeemullah, the militant who carried out the suicide bombing that killed SP Chaudhry Aslam, a senior officer in the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD).

Police further revealed that Ghulamullah had a criminal record with multiple cases registered against him in the past. His death is being seen as a significant development in ongoing operations against remnants of terror networks in the city.
