Speaking informally to the media, Khan said, “I spoke to my children for over an hour and a half. They will come to visit me in Pakistan.”

He expressed satisfaction over improved prison conditions, noting, “I’m glad I’m now being given newspapers and have access to TV.”

However, Khan made it clear that his sons would not take part in politics or any protest movement.

“My children have no involvement in politics, nor will they be part of any movement,” he said.

NADRA card issue delays sons’ travel

Meanwhile, Khan’s sister, Aleema Khan, confirmed the sons’ intention to visit Pakistan but pointed to a bureaucratic hurdle.

She said the former premier’s sons held National Identity Cards for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP), but those cards had gone missing.

“They applied for new NICOPs and visas,” Aleema told reporters, “but strangely, the embassy claims no such application has been received.”

She added, “I have the tracking number of their application. A friend contacted the Pakistani ambassador, who said permission must be taken from the Ministry of Interior. I told them to get approval from whoever they need — even Mohsin Naqvi, if required. Then we heard the Ministry of Foreign Affairs would issue the visa, but now the ambassador isn’t responding to any questions.”
