The “Z-10ME” gunship helicopter is capable of effectively targeting air and ground targets and is being hailed as a new development in the changing combat environment.

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Asim Munir presided over the induction ceremony in Multan, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a press release.

Field Marshal Asim Munir also received a detailed briefing on the operational preparedness of the formation and ongoing training activities at Corps Headquarters during his to Multan Garrison.

The army chief expressed satisfaction over the high professionalism, training standards and combat readiness of the Pakistan Army and reiterated the resolve to defend the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

This state-of-the-art, all-weather, day and night gunship platform is equipped with advanced radar systems, electronic warfare capabilities and precision-guided munitions, enabling it to strike enemy air and ground targets effectively.

The induction of the Z-10ME is seen as a decisive step forward in the Pakistan Army’s modern warfare strategy and aviation upgradation.

Field Marshal Asim Munir witnessed a live firepower demonstration by Z-10ME helicopters at the Muzaffargarh Field Firing Range.

On this occasion, various units of the Pakistan Army presented an impressive display of “combined arms tactics”.

The army chief appreciated the high morale, professional skills and combat readiness of the soldiers and said that the Pakistan Army is fully prepared to maintain a decisive edge even in the changing war environment.

The army chief also met various academic and social figures during his visit. On this occasion, he stressed the importance of national unity, civil-military coordination and a common national strategy.

He said that unity of the entire nation is essential to deal with the hybrid threats of the present era.

In his address at the Corps Headquarters in Multan, the army chief said that Pakistan’s national sovereignty and regional security will be defended at all costs.

He termed the ongoing training activities of the Pakistan Army as a matter of pride and said that this preparation further strengthens the capability to give a befitting reply to the enemy.

Earlier, Field Marshal Asim Munir was welcomed by the Corps Commander Multan upon his arrival in Multan.

Military experts have described the visit as extremely important in the context of assessing the operational preparedness of the Pakistan Army and integrating modern technology.
