PIA will operate special flights for Arbaeen, with flights from Pakistan to Najaf scheduled from August 8 to August 11. Return flights from Najaf to Pakistan will operate from August 18 to August 23.

PIA has set a fare of $675 per passenger for the special Arbaeen flight operation.

Pilgrims going to Iraq have requested PIA to reduce the fare and operate additional flights.

Sources said that every year, millions of people travel by road from Pakistan to the Iraqi city of Najaf via Iran.
