The Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) has also issued a formal notification to this effect.

According to a PSB spokesperson, the decision was taken during the board’s 34th meeting, which was held on July 23, 2025. A circular has been sent to all national sports federations, asking to strictly adhere to the directive.

According to the notification, no sports federation will be allowed to participate in any sporting event held in India without the prior permission of the Pakistan Sports Board.

After this notification, the national hockey team will not be able to participate in the Asia Hockey Cup. The notification does not specify how long the restriction will remain in place.
