With the announcement of the schedule, the uncertainty over the T20 Asia Cup has finally been lifted.

Mohsin Naqvi announced the tournament schedule on the social networking website X.

In a statement, Naqvi said that he was pleased to confirm the schedule of the Asia Cup 2025, which will be held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

He said that the Asia Cup will be played from September 9 to 28, in which exciting cricket matches are expected. The detailed schedule of the tournament will be released soon.

Eight teams will participate in the Asia Cup, which has been divided into two groups.

Pakistan, India, the UAE and Oman have been included in Group ‘A’, while Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and Hong Kong are in Group ‘B’.

Afghanistan and Hong Kong will face off in the opening match of the Asia Cup on September 9.

The second match will be played between India and the UAE on September 10, while Pakistan will play its first match against Oman on September 12.

The match between Pakistan and the UAE will be played on September 17.

The much-anticipated match between Pakistan and India in the event will be played on September 14.

A second match between Pakistan and India is likely on September 21, provided Pakistan and India reach the Super Four.

Earlier, Indian media claimed that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had received government permission to play the Asia Cup, as well as the green signal for playing against Pakistan.

It is important to note that the Asia Cup 2025 is being hosted by India, in which teams from Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, UAE, Hong Kong and Oman will participate.
