Maulana Khan Zeb was on his way back home after participating in a peace march when he was ambushed in the Nawagai area. Five assailants opened fire on him while riding two motorcycles.

The report also confirms that the ANP’s leader was the intended target of the attack. His security guard was also martyred in the assault, while three others sustained injuries

Geofencing of two locations is also underway as part of the investigation. Officials recovered at least 35 bullet casings from the crime scene.

A case has been registered at the CTD Police Station Bajaur, with the FIR filed on the complaint of the SHO of Khar Police Station.
