The matter will be taken up by the National Assembly’s Finance Committee, which is chaired by the Speaker and is responsible for all financial decisions of the House.

According to the NA secretariat, while the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has issued the notifications for the reinstated MNAs, salary disbursements require the formal approval of the Finance Committee.

The sources clarified that restored members are not required to take the oath again, as their previous swearing-in remains valid.

The issue of salaries for these MNAs remains unresolved for now, with the Secretariat reiterating that any payments will be subject to the Finance Committee’s decision.
