According to official reports, during the nights of 1–2 and 2–3 July 2025, movement by a large group of Khawarij linked to the Indian proxy network Fitna al Khawarij was detected in the Hassan Khel area. The militants were attempting to cross into Pakistani territory.

Acting swiftly, Pakistani troops engaged the infiltrators with precise and effective fire, eliminating all thirty militants involved. A substantial cache of weapons, ammunition, and explosives was recovered from the site.

Security officials praised the troops’ exceptional professionalism, vigilance, and readiness, noting that their timely action prevented a potential large-scale attack.

Authorities called on the Interim Afghan Government to ensure that Afghan soil is not used by foreign proxies to launch terrorist operations against Pakistan.

The security forces reaffirmed their unwavering resolve to protect the country’s borders and eliminate Indian-backed terrorism in all its forms.
