According to the notification, OGRA has set new gas tariffs for domestic users ranging between Rs200 and Rs4,200 per MMBTU.

Protected domestic users will be charged between Rs200 and Rs350 per MMBTU, while non-protected consumers will face rates from Rs500 to Rs4,200 per MMBTU.

The monthly fixed charges for protected domestic users have been set at Rs600, while non-protected users will pay Rs1,500.

Households consuming more than 1.5 cubic meters of gas monthly will face fixed charges of Rs3,000.

For government institutions, semi-government organisations, hospitals, and educational institutions, OGRA has fixed the gas tariff at Rs3,175 per MMBTU. Tandoor operators will now pay rates between Rs110 and Rs700 per MMBTU.

Commercial users will be charged Rs3,900 per MMBTU, while general industry will pay Rs2,300 per MMBTU.

Captive power plants will be charged Rs3,500, CNG stations Rs3,750, cement factories Rs4,400, and fertilizer units Rs1,597 per MMBTU.

Power producers, including K-Electric, will now pay Rs1,225 per MMBTU for gas supplies.

These changes, effective from July 1, were discussed and approved in a recent meeting of the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) chaired by Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb.
