Sources from the CCD reported that the encounter was initiated by the Model Town CCD team

The suspects were being taken to the police station for questioning and recovery when their accomplices opened fire on the police.

During the ensuing exchange of fire, both suspects were injured by gunfire from their own companions and later died while being transported to the hospital.

Meanwhile, the accomplices managed to escape into the darkness. The CCD has established a special team to locate and apprehend the fleeing suspects.
