The ISPR said that security forces carried out a successful operation, targeting militants from the Indian-backed proxy group Fitna Al Khwarij.

During the operation, troops engaged enemy positions with precision, killing 11 militants. An additional seven militants were injured in the intense exchange of fire.

Two valiant soldiers were martyred in the operation, including Major Syed Moiz Abbas Shah (age 37, resident of Chakwal) and Lance Naik Jibranullah (age 27, resident of Bannu).

According to the ISPR, Major Moiz was known for his courage and bravery in numerous counter-terrorism operations.

He was leading the operation from the front when he made the ultimate sacrifice.

The military has launched a follow-up sanitization operation in the area to ensure the elimination of any remaining elements of the group.

The ISPR reaffirmed the armed forces’ unwavering resolve to root out Indian-sponsored terrorism from Pakistani soil.

“Such sacrifices of our brave men only strengthen our national commitment to eradicate the menace of terrorism,” the statement added.
