Calling Iran’s aggression “unjustified and unacceptable,” the Crown Prince stressed that the Kingdom stands in full solidarity with its Qatari brothers and considers their security a top priority.

In a related development, the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom also held a detailed discussion on the evolving situation in the Middle East.

Both sides agreed to bolster diplomatic efforts aimed at de-escalating tensions and encouraging all parties to return to the negotiating table.

Meanwhile, Qatari Foreign Ministry spokesperson Majid Al-Ansari confirmed in a press briefing that the situation in Qatar remains under control, with normalcy restored.

He strongly condemned the Iranian attack on Al Udeid Air Base, calling it a “shocking act” against a nation known for its peacekeeping and mediation efforts.

Al-Ansari revealed that Qatari authorities had received credible intelligence about a potential strike, which led to the immediate closure of the country’s airspace.

He added that the Iranian missiles were intercepted and destroyed over the sea before reaching their target, averting what could have been a major catastrophe.

The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) also issued statements strongly condemning the Iranian attack.

Declaring the strike as “neither acceptable nor justifiable,” both the Kingdom and the GCC reiterated their full solidarity with Qatar and urged Iran to stop fueling regional instability.
