According to the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, the “enemy” struck key nuclear sites in Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan—actions which Iran has labelled a blatant violation of international law.

Iran has issued a stern warning, vowing to deliver a crushing response.

Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei declared that the United States has now officially entered into a state of war with Iran and will be held fully accountable for the consequences.

“America should wait — it will pay the price for these attacks,” Khamenei said.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) reacted sharply, stating that all American assets in the Middle East are now potential targets.

An IRGC spokesperson declared, “For us, the war has already begun. We will respond on every front.”

Meanwhile, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian reiterated that Iran’s nuclear programme is purely for peaceful and civilian purposes.

In a phone call with French President Emmanuel Macron, Pezeshkian affirmed Tehran’s long-standing position that it is willing to provide guarantees that its programme is not military in nature.

“Access to peaceful nuclear energy is Iran’s legal and natural right,” Pezeshkian said.

“This right cannot be taken away through war or threats. Iran has always operated within the framework of international law, and these attacks are not just violations — they are an assault on a nation’s fundamental rights.”

According to Iranian state media, an emergency security meeting has been convened in Tehran, and the country’s air defense systems have been placed on high alert.

Tensions in the region have reached a critical point, with fears mounting that a full-scale war could erupt at any moment.
