Wearing a face mask and plain attire, she visited the hospital’s emergency department, medical wards, gynecology, and labour rooms without prior notice.

During her visit, Aurangzeb personally interacted with patients, inquiring about the availability of medical services and essential medicines.

She found the emergency services to be in a satisfactory state, and noted that a recorded audio message from the Punjab chief minister, announcing the provision of free medicines, was being played on loudspeakers within the facility.

Aurangzeb expressed satisfaction with the overall cleanliness, staff presence, and delivery of healthcare services.

She also confirmed that the distribution of free medicines to patients was underway as per the government’s promise.

This is not the first time the minister has conducted a covert inspection. On March 30, she had similarly visited Jinnah Hospital and the Children’s Hospital in disguise to monitor conditions without alerting staff in advance.

Her visits are part of a broader initiative to ensure transparency, accountability, and improved healthcare standards across Punjab’s public hospitals.
