Met Office has provided a weather update for various regions of the country.

Islamabad and its nearby areas are expected to be partially cloudy, with possible rain and thunderstorms in some locations.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will also see partial cloud cover, with rain forecasted for the evening and night in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Malakand, Shangla, and Abbottabad.

In Punjab, most districts will experience hot weather, though some areas may have partial cloudiness. Light rain is anticipated in Murree, Galiyat, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, and Rawalpindi.

Sindh’s districts are predicted to be hot and humid, while Balochistan is expected to remain hot and dry, with rain and winds likely in Quetta, Khuzdar, Lasbela, and surrounding areas.

Additionally, light rain is anticipated in parts of Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir.

The plains are currently under severe heat, prompting the Met Office to issue an alert that the heat wave will continue until June 21.

Citizens are advised to take necessary precautions against the rising temperatures.
