A total of 11,418 Pakistani pilgrims have returned home up till now during the post-Hajj flight operation on Sunday, according to the country’s Ministry of Religious Affairs.

The flight operation began on June 11 with Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight PK-732 arriving in Islamabad, carrying 307 pilgrims. It is expected to conclude on July 10, with the final flight landing in Islamabad.

This year’s Hajj took place from June 4 to June 9, attracting millions of pilgrims, including over 115,000 from Pakistan under various government and private schemes.

A spokesperson for the Ministry announced that on Sunday, June 15, an additional 4,995 pilgrims will arrive via 20 flights.

Over six flights will land in both Islamabad and Lahore, while 4 will arrive in Karachi, 3 in Multan, and 1 in Quetta.

The flights will be operated by various airlines: 8 by PIA, five by Saudia, 4 by Airblue, 2 by AirSial, and 1 by Serene Air.

Despite disruptions in global air traffic due to the ongoing Iran-Israel conflict, the ministry reported that Pakistan’s post-Hajj flight operation is proceeding successfully.

The spokesperson urged pilgrims to maintain discipline during their return journey and to ensure their baggage complies with airline weight limits.

Pilgrims are advised to arrive at their respective airports in Saudi Arabia six to eight hours prior to departure.
