      <title>PMDC releases new MDCAT 2025 curriculum; Exam in late September or early October</title>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has released the new syllabus for the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) 2025.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The updated syllabus has been uploaded to the PMDC’s official website.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;According to PMDC, the MDCAT exam is expected to be held on the last Sunday of September or the first Sunday of October this year.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The test will cover five core subjects: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, English, and Logical Reasoning.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The exam will consist of 180 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) with a total duration of 3 hours. As per the announced structure, 15% of the questions will be easy, 70% moderate, and 15% difficult.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;There will be no negative marking, and the entire test will be MCQ-based, confirmed PMDC President Prof. Rizwan Taj.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;To qualify for admission, candidates must secure at least 55% marks for medical colleges and 50% for dental colleges.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The PMDC has also initiated the development of a question bank for the MDCAT.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The new syllabus has been designed in consultation with academic experts, education boards, and universities.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Prof. Rizwan Taj stated that the updated curriculum aims to ensure merit-based and transparent admission procedures.&lt;/p&gt;
