&lt;p&gt;Notably, heavyweight stocks such as MARI, POL, WAFI, and MCB traded in the green, providing some support to the index.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The previous day, the KSE-100 Index had surged by 1,348 points or 1.12%, closing at a record high of 121,799 points.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;This rally was primarily driven by positive investor sentiment surrounding anticipated favorable measures in the upcoming federal budget.&lt;/p&gt;
