The primary accused, Salman Farooqi, and his accomplice were arrested following the viral circulation of the assault video on social media. During the hearing, the court asked Salman Farooqi to name his lawyer, and he identified Naeem Qureshi. However, due to the lawyer’s absence, the court briefly adjourned the hearing for 10 minutes.

Later, Salman Farooqi’s lawyer submitted a pre-arrest bail plea, arguing that the charges, including threats, are bailable.

The police submitted an initial report stating that the complainant, Muhammad Saleem, a sales manager at a mobile company, had visited Ittehad Commercial for the recovery when he witnessed a minor motorcycle accident involving a car.

The report alleges that Salman Farooqi, who was driving the car, reacted aggressively, assaulted the motorcyclist, and, along with his security guard, forcibly confined the young man inside a vehicle.

Despite pleas from women present at the scene, Salman reportedly used abusive language and pushed one woman backward.

The incident was recorded by bystanders and shared on social media, prompting swift police action.
