In a podcast with Irfan Asghar, he stated that “I have initiated a collaboration with Punjabi artists and I am the one who has ended the initiative.”

Thakur stated that there are two types of people in the world: those who are raised by brave mothers and even express anger with dignity, and those who resort to rudeness and foul language.

He emphasized his affection for Indian Punjab, saying, “I never see Indian Punjab as separate from Pakistani Punjab, we are two bodies, one soul.”

He highlighted the remarks made by Indian actor Sukhwinder Raj that were “distorted.”

Moreover, he stated that he was apologetic towards Indian actors, including Simi Chahal, Diljit Dosanjh, Amrinder Gill, and others, as he never wanted to hurt them.

Thakur stated that his remarks were directed towards individuals such as Major Gaurav Arya and General Bakhshi, whom he considers to hold strong nationalist views.

Thakur had earlier stated that if you attack by air, you will be scattered by the winds; if you come by water, you will be drowned; and if you advance by land, you will be buried.

He credited the Pakistan Air Force for delivering this message to the Indian Air Force.

However, his remarks were not well received by many of his Indian Punjabi peers.

Iftikhar Thakur, whose real name is Iftikhar Ahmed, is a Pakistani actor, stand-up comedian, director, and host.

He initially rose to fame through his performances in Punjabi dramas and has since appeared in a wide range of stage shows and telefilms across multiple languages, including Punjabi.
