Flight operations at Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport were suspended for a brief period on Friday amid rising India-Pakistan tensions, but have now resumed, according to Pakistan Airports Authority.

A flight coming from Karachi was sent back as the airport was placed under a alert.

However, flight operations resumed shortly.

Sialkot Airport also saw a complete suspension of air traffic. According to a NOTAM (Notice to Airmen), flight operations there were halted for three hours and thirty minutes, and are expected to resume by 6 PM local time.

A red alert was issued at Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport, triggering heightened security measures.

The Airport Security Force (ASF) and all relevant institutions were instructed to remain on alert. Sources stated that flight operations in Lahore would only resume following full security clearance.
