The airlines will resume operations as soon as the situation in the region stabilizes. Recent tensions have significantly disrupted air travel in Pakistan, affecting thousands of passengers.

Over 450 flights affected

Pakistan has restricted its air operations, resulting in the disruption of 450 flights following recent drone attacks from India.**

India’s drone attacks disrupted flights to destinations like Dubai, Doha, and Kuala Lumpur, leading to 150 cancellations, including pilgrim flights.

The sudden closure and reopening of airspace over Lahore, Sialkot, Islamabad, Multan, and Karachi caused difficulties for thousands of travelers and forced airlines to reschedule many flights.

Allama Iqbal International Airport usually handles over 50 flights daily, but around 80% of these flights are currently affected.

The Pakistan Airport Authority and various airlines, including PIA, advised passengers to check flight information before arriving at the airport.

Airports operational in other areas

All airports in Pakistan are operating normally, but some routes in Karachi and Lahore are closed until May 31 due to operational issues.

Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport has resumed flight operations immediately, and other major airports are still open for flights.

The Pakistan Airports Authority announced the restoration of flights at Karachi Airport and stated that all other major airports are operational.

They advised passengers to check with their airlines for flight updates.

Earlier, the Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) had announced a temporary suspension of flights at Karachi Airport until midnight, and flights on the closed routes in Lahore have also restarted.
