Although Safia’s passport, laptop, and mobile phones have been located, her current whereabouts are still unknown.

Safia landed in Lahore from Muscat, Oman, on April 19, accompanied by 22-year-old Mohammad Onais Shah. After exiting the airport, both individuals seemingly vanished without a trace.

Police sources indicate that the investigation has progressed to Phase Three in Hayatabad, Peshawar, where authorities recovered Safia’s passport, two mobile phones, and a laptop from a residence.

Five suspects have been detained, but neither Safia nor Onais has been found.

The lawyer representing the suspects told Aaj News, “There were six individuals involved, one of whom consulted me.

I filed a detention petition in the Peshawar High Court, which ruled that all six were illegally detained.“

While the police have filed a case, the investigation has been criticized for its slow pace and lack of clear direction.

Preliminary findings suggest that multiple transfers of money occurred from Oman to the bank account of Onais’s mother, Muslima Bibi.
