Reports indicate that between 1pm and 1am, a total of 510 flights were delayed at New Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport. During this 12-hour period, 250 incoming flights and 260 departing flights faced delays.

The average delay for arriving flights was reported to be 55 minutes, while departing flights were delayed by an average of 65 minutes.

The arrival disruption index rose to 4.6, and the departure disruption index reached a maximum level of 5, reflecting the serious operational impact. Most delays were observed in domestic flights.

These disruptions come amid heightened tensions between Pakistan and India, particularly following the tragic killing of 26 Indian tourists in Pahalgam, located in Indian-administered Kashmir.
