Areas that are typically exempt from outages are also enduring power cuts for hours, often justified by claims of “faults.”

Densely populated neighborhoods, including Gulbahar, Golimar, Rizvia Society, Nazimabad, Liaquatabad, Buffer Zone, North Karachi, New Karachi, Surjani Town, Orangi Town, Korangi, Malir, Landhi, Lyari, and the Old City Area, are particularly affected by prolonged power interruptions.

The combination of extreme heat and electricity shortages is disrupting operations in hospitals, educational institutions, and businesses.

Residents are calling on the government and relevant authorities to take immediate action to address the ongoing issue of load shedding.
