According to CTD officials, the operation was launched on confirmed intelligence regarding the presence of terrorists affiliated with a banned organisation. A fierce exchange of fire ensued, during which nine terrorists were neutralised. A large cache of arms and ammunition was recovered from their possession.

CTD officials stated that the slain terrorists were involved in multiple attacks targeting security personnel and civilians. They were reportedly planning another terrorist attack at the time of the operation.

The bodies of the deceased terrorists were shifted to the Civil Hospital Pishin for identification and further legal procedures.
